Assistant Director, Kahane UN Program

Ms. Krasnor graduated from Emory University and has an Master of International Affairs, with a focus on human rights, from the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University. She worked for more than twenty years at the UN, including the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), UN Women, and at the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) where she was team lead for gender-based violence in emergencies. Much of her work within the UN system focused on strategic planning, capacity building activities, and setting protection policy relating to gender equality and gender-based violence in humanitarian emergencies. Most recently she served as a Senior Advisor at USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), where she was the technical lead on GBV risk mitigation, protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), and safe and accountable programming.
